HALCSIN - Approximately 10 years ago, I located my family surname (while visiting relatives in Slovakia) in records at Levoča. Our family came to the USA in the 1880’s from Spišská Nová Ves. The records I had located date back about 200 years (early 1800’s). Although my surname is currently spelled Kozbelt, it was originally spelled three other ways in Slovakia (Kozbel', Kozbell and Kozbial). HULIN - My grandfather was John Skolnik, b. 1885 in Rajecká Lesná, parents John Skolnik and Eva Surik (d. 1903). His father remarried in 1903 to Anna Biely Hulin (d. 1919). Granfather arrived New York approximately 1903-1906. He had a brother and sister, that died in childhood, a sister married Vincent Bolos.
